Is here, along with an interesting thread it spawned. I agree with this post tons. Lately Michigan has had guys running on and off the field constantly between every play. Five or six guys will wander on the field, look at JH, and then either wander off or sprint into position. This makes sense to get in a CB or two on third and fifteen, but mostly I think it adds unnecessary complexity.

I think JH picked up this disease after those Purdue games where Tiller was taking advantage of a loophole in the rules by running 15 guys on the field and running four of them off after the huddle was broken (which is now a procedure penalty). It was his (at the time) clever response to that strategy. Now it just causes a lot of confusion. Several times this year I've seen two players line up over the same WR, yell at each other a bit, and figure something out moments before the snap.
