No matter what Montoya does, Billy Sauer will wear the Maize and Blue next year, breaking an 11-year string of Michigan having one and only one potential starter on the team.
The issue is then: what to do with him? If Montoya returns does he redshirt? If Montoya leaves does he split time with Ruden or become the full-time starter? Knowing Red, probably the latter.
Also, Michigan Tech's net-off-the-moorings goal against UM was NOT a goal, as the article states towards the end. Because the rulebook obviously says it wasn't. Now, I think the rulebook should be changed and it should be allowed if the UM player knocks it off. But it further displays the cretinous monkeys that are officiating CCHA games these days.
