SJ_Steve posted a summary of his wife's attendance at Carr's Women's Football Camp this weekend on the Victors. Since it will evaporate soon I excerpt some directly football-relevant passages here for posterity:

  • "Talked at length with Scot Loeffler. Said he's really not interested in leaving and I believe him."
  • "Scot was very high on Chad -- said that he pretty much had the full playbook in the Rose Bowl and had he made "two or three" more plays we would have won going away. I should mention that he thought Chad played incredibly well but he likes to make the point that sometimes it's one or two bad plays that made the difference in a QB's winning or losing a game." (mgoblog immediately thought of the overthrown Jermaine Gonzalez third down.)
  • "Chris Graham is absolutely ripped.... Terrance Taylor is a fricking monster."
Mario Manningham grabbed a power mushroom and scored three touchdowns in a North-South Ohio All Star game yesterday, though one was called back for holding. Reports are filed by UMwolfman and simmygoblue. Wolfman includes a picture of Mario's first touchdown:

Mario's the one with the ball.

Meanwhile, on Rivals there are a couple of first hand accounts of '06 commit K'len Morris' recent game against Bellville. newblue01 is generally positive and brings some stats with him that are encouraging: against Leon Freeman of Bellville K'len racked up 23 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals, though he couldn't prevent Freeman for besting him with 26 points and 15 rebounds. BayBlue also likes him but says he's closer to 6'3" than 6'5".

Update: Cincinatti.com has an article on the North's 45-17 victory in the Ohio All-Star game. Picture of Manningham included:
