All right, I was somewhere between somewhat and and very intoxicated while this was going on, but I remember watching news coverage of what went on in East Lansing after MSU's loss to UNC and it was... weird. There were scattered students all apparently in transit from bars to their homes, cops in riot gear, and completely unnecessary tear gas.
The RCMB has a picture-laden rant detailing what certainly sounds like a huge overreaction by the ELPD in their anticipation of another Duke 1999 fiasco. Some dude with a much better camera also has a visual summary up. My favorite:
All in all, though, it looks like MSU students got done wrong here.
